Andy was also elected as the Union President for the Springfield Fire Division, a position he held for 9 years. One of Andy’s most impactful contributions to Springfield was his work negotiating labor contracts for professional firefighters. He worked relentlessly to secure fair wages, excellent health benefits, and crucial protections for firefighters, ensuring they received the compensation and care they deserved in return for their service to the community. His role in these negotiations earned him a prestigious Leadership Award from the Ohio Association of Professional Firefighters (OAPFF), recognizing his commitment to the profession and the betterment of the lives of those who risk it all to serve.
